Makonde 2 armchair, carved in the Makonde style, in mahogany wood, one piece

The shape of the backrest – oval and protective, the soft upholstery and the authentic African hand carving are defining features of this armchair model – Makonde 2.

Similar to the Makonde 1 armchair, but smaller in size and with a different story told through carving, it belongs to our late African sculptor, who was a master of fine, small-scale detail. This can be seen from the way he expressed life in the Makonde tribe he was part of, with many interlinked characters. All by hand, using traditional utensils.

That’s why the Makonde 2 armchair is a unique, unrepeatable piece of luxury furniture, which is at the same time a functional and comfortable object to be used with joy.
